What is a double degree in International Social Work?
The VIVES University in Kortrijk/Belgium and the Protestant University in Ludwigsburg jointly offer a seven-semester Bachelor's degree in International Social Work. Students from EH spend the fourth semester as a theoretical semester at VIVES and the fifth semester as a practical semester in Belgium. Here, teaching will be in English. The VIVES students complete the third semester of English-language modules at the Protestant University of Applied Sciences together with the Ludwigsburg students and come to Ludwigsburg again in the seventh semester for the practice. At the end of the study program, the students from Belgium and Germany each receive an academic qualification from both universities.
What is special?
- A multicultural and interdisciplinary environment
- international work experience
- a motivating sense of community with the other German and Belgian students participating in the program
- an introduction to complex interconnections of national and global realities
- the acquisition of competencies necessary for social work practice in one's own country or for international social work in other parts of the world
We support you financially
A grant to finance semesters abroad is available through the ERASMUS+ program. Students staying in Belgium will receive a monthly rate of 540 € during the semester abroad (theory and practice).
