'Heilpaedagogic' (B.A.)

The course qualifies students for challenging, scientifically based work with children, young people and adults who are at risk of or affected by exclusion (for example, due to experiences of disability). The family and socio-spatial environment including professional services, initiatives and associations are also included. The study is based on the guiding principle of inclusion with the goal that all people (regardless of impairments, disabilities or need for assistance) live together in a self-determined manner and with equal rights.

• After graduation, you can expect dynamic professional fields that offer a lot of scope for innovation and design in the future. The study program takes up current professional developments and discourses and prepares for upcoming requirements of inclusive pedagogy and inclusion-oriented special education, depending on social developments.
• The study program offers a general and close theory-practice relationship through the consistent principle of "research-based learning" as well as through project studies (project internships).
• In addition to current professional knowledge and skills, the course also imparts personal, social and methodological skills that are required, among other things, in the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
