What is the Office for Diversity?
The Office for Diversity offers a comprehensive advisory service for employees and students.
The goal is to design educational, research, work and administrative processes at our university without risks of exclusion. Barriers and discrimination in everyday life at the university are to be dismantled in accordance with our university's "Enthinderungsordnung" (official University regulations to reduce barriers and to state support and equal treatment of University members, especially members with lived experience of disability), and diversity is to be experienced as an enrichment in all areas of the university. At the same time, gender democracy and equal share of power between women and men are still central goals as formulated in our "Gleichstellungsplan" (equalisation plan).
In the Office for Diversity, the Equal Opportunities Representative (Women's/Equal Opportunity Officer) and the Enthinderungs-Representative work closely with the Anti-Discrimination Representative Volker Kaufmann. In addition, the Institute for Anti-Discrimination and Diversity Issues (IAD) is included, see also https://www.antidiskriminierungsforum.eu/ (website only available in German).
