The Karlshöhe student residence

The Karlshöhe student residence offers about 130 places for students of the neighboring Protestant University of Applied Sciences Ludwigsburg. Living together and sharing life in all its diversity are part of the concept of deacon and deaconess training - and have been since Karlshöhe was founded in 1876. That is why the student residence is more than just a place to live!

Organized in shared apartments, the daily routine is negotiated and implemented, from cleaning schedules to eating together to the organization of spiritual life. In order for this to succeed, there are other rooms and possibilities in addition to one's own room and the usually spacious kitchen. Two staff members also ensure that men and women can feel comfortable. The basis and benchmark for the student residence is the "Concept of the Student Residence".

Since the beginning of 2014, the project "Study Residence Inclusive" offers the possibility to live together in the shared apartments with people with mental or physical disabilities or with people who are doing an FSJ, BFD or internship as well as an apprenticeship at the Karlshöhe Foundation. The application for the student residence is linked to an acceptance for a study place at the Protestant University of Applied Sciences Ludwigsburg.
